Mission Statement

The Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut is a "home away from home" primarily for families of children who are being treated at nearby hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Students can make a real difference! Kids Helping Kids is our motto.

Since 1987, Connecticut school children have been the heart of the Lights of Love school fundraising campaign for the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut. Inspired by the generosity of one Cheshire student, the campaign has grown to include participation of thousands of children from public and private schools throughout the state. Schools or youth organizations design their own fundraisers which can be conducted any time throughout the year.

Lights of LoveHoliday Appeal

Our single most popular fundraiser is a holiday appeal where students collect donations of $1 or more to honor or remember a loved one.  Student representatives and teachers from each participating school are invited to a celebration at the House in December. More info...
