Mission Statement

The Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut is a "home away from home" primarily for families of children who are being treated at nearby hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Guest Experiences

Family from St.Croix brightened house with their cheerful ways!

Fifteen-year-old Isabella Sylvester (left) and her mother, Melissa (right), guests from St. Croix, brightened our summer with their cheerful ways! While Isabella recuperated from surgery at the Shriners Hospital in Springfield, MA, they savored the peace and quiet at what they called their “luxurious home away from home.” They toured downtown New Haven and attended the Big Apple Circus in addition to enjoying time in our gardens.

“When I first came to the states, I was excited and happy that I was getting surgery done,” explained Isabella. “After my surgery I wanted to heal in peace and quiet and around love and kindness, and that is what I got. The people in the House are so kind and loving – it’s amazing!”
