Kids Just Want to Have Fun
And that’s what they had at the grand opening of the Ronald McDonald playhouse promotion at the Westfield
Meriden Mall on October 17.
The playhouses was on display at both the Westfield Meriden Mall
and the Westfield CT Post Mall in Milford. Both malls are providing fund raising opportunities for area schools to contribute to Lights of Love. The playhouses was auctioned on eBay in December.
Thanks to a donation of $3,500 worth of Halloween costumes from FunWorld of Long Island, NY, we were able to distribute costumes to students from Hanover Elementary School (Meriden) at the Westfield Meriden Mall and to students from Milford Orange Avenue Elementary School at the Westfield CT Post Mall. Both schools have participated in our Lights of Love programs before. We also distributed costumes to our guest families and to families at the Springfield Ronald McDonald House.
