Mission Statement

The Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut is a "home away from home" primarily for families of children who are being treated at nearby hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Area Students Invited to Join Ronald McDonald HouseJunior Board

RMH volunteer Mary Woomer, Facilities Manager for the Fusco Corporation, is heading up a Junior Board for the Ronald McDonald House of Connecicut. This board is composed of area high school students who will focus on fundraising, outreach, and volunteer activities for the House. Stephanie Santoro, a junior at Cheshire High School, is spearheading the Junior Board as president. Said Stephanie, “We are looking for motivated students from area high schools to join the board to make a difference in the lives of the guest families.”

Patterned after a similar successful program at the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, Massachusetts, the board will focus its initial efforts on the House playroom. They plan to upgrade the toys and recreation equipment.
