Area Students Invited to Join Ronald McDonald HouseJunior Board
RMH volunteer Mary Woomer, Facilities Manager for the Fusco Corporation, is heading up a Junior Board for the Ronald McDonald House of Connecicut. This board is composed of area high school students who will focus on fundraising, outreach, and volunteer activities for the House. Stephanie Santoro, a junior at Cheshire High School, is spearheading the Junior Board as president. Said Stephanie, “We are looking for motivated students from area high schools to join the board to make a difference in the lives of the guest families.”
Patterned after a similar successful program at the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, Massachusetts, the board will focus its initial efforts on the House playroom. They plan to upgrade the toys and recreation equipment.
If you know a high school student who is interested in becoming part of the Junior Board, please contact Director of Development Michael Rohde at 203/777-5683 or email him at mrohde@rmh-ct.org Junior Board President Stephanie Santoro learned more about the House when she met with Director Michael Rohde.
