Bar Mitzvah Money Well Spent
Jacob Apkon (right), son of former board member Michael Apkon, M.D. used some of his Bar Mitzvah money to fill 10 baskets with items from our Wish List and presented them to Janet Hanscom (left).

stopped by for a tour and presented us with a $1,000 check.
Amarante’s 50th Anniversary Celebration...
exceeded all expectations for a fundraiser, netting $17,000 for the House! We are most grateful to the Amarante family for their generosity and to all who joined in the event. more info...
The Omni Hotel in New Haven...
has donated lots of sample-size toiletries for guests. The Omni is also sponsoring a tree at Trees of Hope and another one at the hotel as part of our Satellite Tree program.
Recent House guests from New London County
had lots of support from their local school where the father who stayed here is a teacher. Lyman Memorial High School collected $2,000 worth of Wish List items which filled the conference room. The school also provided dinner for guests. Pictured below are students from Lyman School (left) and school nurse Sandy Belisle (right) with their donated items.
Our guests have been well fed this fall! Dinner has been provided by groups from Sikorsky and Party Lite as well as Girl Scouts.
